I currently reside in Asheville, NC. Western North Carolina has become a growing tourist spot for many people in recent years. Asheville has grown in the tourism industry by claiming national claim to prestigious awards such as #1 happiest place for women, #1 travel destination as voted on Good Morning America, and Beer city the USA for having the most craft breweries per capita.
When hurricane Irma struck Florida in 2017 it caused many of the residents to have to flee the state for safety. Asheville became a popular destination for many Floridians to spend the time away from their home. Of course, many of those people did not want to leave their furry friends at home alone and in danger. Residents that did leave their pets during the hurricane were possibly charged with animal cruelty. So many people and their pets evacuated to the mountains of Western North Carolina.
The problem that many pet owners have when traveling for long period of time, or the desire to take their pets on vacation, is that many hotels do not accept pets in their hotel. So, I have compiled a list of the best hotels in Western North Carolina that accept pets. When traveling through North Carolina, these hotels can make a pet owners trip even better.
